This weekly column is updated every Tuesday

Your personal number for 2008 (you keep this number for the entire year) is obtained by adding 2008 to your month and day of birth. For example, if you were born on May 31, add 5 + 3 + 1 + 2 + 0 + 0 + 8 = 19. Keep adding until you reach a single digit. 1 + 9 = 10. 1+0=1.. In this example, your number for 2008 would be 1. It applies to both your Monthly and Weekly Forecasts.

 You may feel stretched too thin or that your options are too limited. Your life and the lives of those around you are changing, as is the world itself. This does not necessarily mean abandoning certain plans, hopes, or ambitions but, rather, adjusting them to match reality. This is an important turning point. Keep your eyes, ears, heart and mind open, and know why you are making the choices you make.

 The feelings you’ve been holding in are being intensified by this slow and uncertain cycle and are bursting to express themselves. The emphasis is on reputation, emotions, endings, relationships, loyalty and different opinions. Pride is also an issue since you do not want to explain yourself, no matter how sympathetic or hostile others appear. Base your decisions on reality, not wishful thinking.

  There may be important details to iron out or duties to fulfill, but they are not as daunting as they once seemed. Stay focused as you sift through the facts. There is no need to keep up appearances or put on an act. Be yourself - as you are now. You have just passed through a storm which you thought had knocked you off course but, in reality, has provided a way forward.

 There are certain rules that do not belong in the life of an evolving soul, but an unevolved part of you wants to do what you believe is ‘expected’ of you, for fear of losing the approval or support of others. Once you discover how deceptive and debilitating guilt (unworthiness) can be, and find a way to unravel yourself from it without denying its existence, you will no longer have to harm or deprive yourself for the sake of being seen as ‘normal’ or ‘good’.

“I don’t know” may be the most intelligent answer you can give at this time. Don’t make things up as you go along and hope others won’t notice. Freedom cannot be defined without diminishing it in some way but, in this cycle, it can only thrive in an open atmosphere in which people do not have to sacrifice the truth in order to please each other, but where pleasing each other is truly desired. Remember that compromise is never a permanent solution.

 The emphasis is on love, and not in a superficial way. We believe we are loving because we are able to love our nearest and dearest. This is a good beginning, but it is a very limited use of life’s most powerful energy. Love is the ultimate feeling, but if it is confined to little clusters of families and groups, we need not question why our world has become so cold, feelingless and loveless. Not all rules are set in stone. Help love do what it loves to do - spread!

 Life is slowing you down to the very extent it will take for you to look at and accept reality. Right now, some rules need to be relaxed. Some hearts need to be soothed. Some lips need to smile spontaneously again. Some eyes need to look at life through less clouded lenses. And some sweet relief needs to be felt, savored, shared, and evolved into a new way of living that makes things easier, not more complicated.

This cycle emphasizes power on the material plane which can be very limited or dangerous if it is out of balance - and, of course, it is seriously so. We are here in this lifetime to restore the balance. You may think you are losing your personal power but, you are simply gaining awareness of how powerless and imbalanced humanity has allowed itself to become - by giving our Free Will away to those who seek to control everything. Be strong! You have more resources than you think.

 You may feel like you don’t belong; that you’ve outgrown something; that the familiar has become unfamiliar and a little cold. It’s all part of the process of letting go of old beliefs that have been blocking your view of reality. Be aware, but don’t blow things out of proportion. Not everything is changing. What is meant to stay will stay, but on terms more in keeping with who you are becoming, rather than who you were.
