This weekly column is updated every Tuesday

Your personal number for 2008 (you keep this number for the entire year) is obtained by adding 2008 to your month and day of birth. For example, if you were born on May 31, add 5 + 3 + 1 + 2 + 0 + 0 + 8 = 19. Keep adding until you reach a single digit. 1 + 9 = 10. 1+0=1.. In this example, your number for 2008 would be 1. It applies to both your Monthly and Weekly Forecasts.

 This down-to-Earth vibration emphasizes facing reality. It sheds light on something that happened in the past, and helps you accept how things have unfolded since then. It can also help you to generate good workable ideas for the future. Some disbelief or skepticism is inevitable, but when this natural form of fear is shoved into that vacuum called denial, the lines of communication get blocked and simple truths become unnecessarily complicated. Let those inner defenses down and be honest - with yourself.

 An unexpected situation can take the pressure off another part of your life which is in danger of boiling over or stagnating. This gives you the time and space to think things out carefully, rather than push blindly and ineffectively ahead. Life is handing you a new option along with the power of right timing. But remember that the eventual results will be a matter of the choices you make.

   What may appear to be a problem is actually an opportunity to create more freedom for yourself. If you experience a delayed reaction to something that happened in the past, don’t fight it. Let those shock waves move through and out of your body. Allowing these feelings to move naturally is the only way to heal them - and healing them is the key to healing you. Balance is emphasized.

 You need to recognize and release the pressure being caused by a build-up of anger. Confrontation is not the answer since you have also played a part in the situation. Do you really desire a peaceful outcome, or do you just want to be proven right, or let off the hook? Is Love motivating you? Revenge? Fear? The situation cannot change unless you change your perception of it, and your reaction to it.

Stay alert. Look beyond first impressions. What happens now may take you by surprise but don’t let the suddenness divert you from reality. Focus. The situation will change, but its effects may be long lasting. If it feels that a past situation is being repeated now, albeit in a different form, this is a chance to handle it differently and, in the long term, more effectively.

 It will be hard to hold your feelings back now. This emotional release can help bring a tedious situation to an end so that a more comfortable reality can begin. If something is your responsibility, take responsibility for it. However, once the air is cleared, an important change will occur in which everything seems more friendly, balanced and calm. It is time to remove a judgment or label which cannot remain on anyone’s back indefinitely.

A change of scenery or habit is needed. Vary your interests and routines. Do something different. If you ever wonder why global history always repeats itself, it is because we keep repeating the same old patterns and behaviors. We crave peace and personal fulfillment but cannot see how we ourselves are preventing it. Break a monotonous pattern now, and you will open yourself up to entirely new possibilities.

Slow everything down. Preoccupation with one area of your life may have caused another to be neglected. If so, you must quickly regain your footing. Don’t ignore this imbalance until it has to shock you into noticing it. The scales must move in another direction and your best interests now depend on your taking a real break from whatever has been exhausting you, and possibly others. If not, you will wear yourself out.

 You may think you have outgrown something or someone, but your feelings are not consistent enough to know for sure. Don’t overreact, blurt things out, or do anything that may later be regretted. Not knowing where this situation is leading is frustrating, but rest assured that it is part of an intense creative and healing process. Relax, lighten up, open your imagination, play with ideas, and be prepared to give and/or receive practical help!
