STEVE JOBS AND THE NUMBER 10

Steve Jobs was born on February 24, 1955. Those numbers add up to 10, which adds up to 1. (2+6+2=10=1). He was born on the 10/1 Destiny Path – the path of the pioneer.

He died on October 5, 2011 which was also a 10/1 day in the world. (1+5+4=10=1).

It is also most interesting that Apple was established on April 1, 1976, another date which adds up to 10. (4+1+5=10=1), and was incorporated on January 3, 1977 which adds up to 10 as well. (1+3+6=10=1).

Steve Jobs’ life, and his death, remind us that we are all potential pioneers in this decade of the 10s, which cries out for innovation as a matter of survival.

Even the word ‘jobs’ carries the most enormous symbolism when, at the time of his death, jobs are what so many people all over the world are so badly in need of; a day on which protests against the outsourcing of jobs by corporations (including Apple) were making innovative inroads of their own. Mixed emotions are involved here. And guess what? The name JOBS adds up to 10. (See the table below to convert the letters into numbers).

There is also the fact that 1 and 0 represent the binary code itself, of which he was a master, and without which our computers, phones and other gadgets simply would not exist.

“There are only 9 numbers in existence. Every number beyond 9
is a variation of the original 9. The natural path for 10 is to bring
things to the ‘next level’, where we start again, but with the
advantage of knowledge accumulated along the way.
10 is about learning from past and present experience so
that we can stop repeating the same old mistakes,
and truly move forward. 10 is the number of innovation.”
From my article “10 10 10 – Welcome To The Decade Of The Tens”.

The life of Steve Jobs produced an unstoppable wave of INNOVATION and HIGH QUALITY, both symbolized by the number 10. He produced a creative surge that changed our experience of computing, music, film, design, communication and our ability to discover new things. He was often referred to as the Thomas Edison of the 21st century. He certainly brought things to the next level.

When we add 1 and 0 we get the number 1 – the nucleus of all the other numbers. “We Are One”, we keep telling ourselves and yet here we are struggling to understand the meaning of that most fundamental number. 1 is the number of the individual; the number of self awareness; self acceptance. 1 is the number of independence, progression and moving forward. We are evolving beyond mere selfishness and searching for ways to BE our authentic selves. 1 is the number of leadership, and if there was ever a leader who understood that leading one’s own life is the basis of personal evolution, it was Steve Jobs. “Your time is limited”, he said, “so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.”

He also said: ‎

Remembering that you are going to die is the
best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you
have something to lose. You are already naked.
There is no reason not to follow your heart.”

It seems almost inevitable that he would leave this Earth in the 10th month of this 4 global year. (2+0+1+1=4). In doing so,  he leaves behind the most inspirational observation that comes from the combination of 10 and 4. You see, 4 is the number of work – and how things work. he said:

Design is a funny word. Some people think design means how it looks. But of course, if you dig deeper, it’s really how it works … It takes a passionate commitment to really thoroughly understand something, chew it up, not just quickly swallow it. Most people don’t take the time to do that…”  Here he is addressing the power of PATIENCE, which is something we must all develop if we are ever to move beyond our present impasse.

He was here on Earth for a very special reason, and impacted our lives in astonishing ways. Regardless of the controversies surrounding the Apple Corporation (which must be addressed in the months to come), Steve Jobs must be given a high score indeed for his contribution… 10 out of 10, I would say.

  2. A beautifully observed, beautifully written commentary. I was touched by the Jobs quote on death: as I am healing from cancer, I am realizing that I want to let my heart lead by life from now on. Thank you, Chris, as always. Joseph

Numerology never ceases to amaze me! Another beautiful article, thanks Christine.
We can only be inspired by Steve Jobs on how he followed his own path and created an unique trail!

On another note; thanks for including the numerology table. I never thought of looking at how the letters were adding up in my name… I was only looking with my birthdate. I’m quite amazed… full name adds up to 9; first name adds up to 9; last name adds up to 9 and 1st name and last name adds up to 18 = 9. My jaw is dropping…. The connection between all the numbers is beyond logic to me but one thing for sure, your words always make sense!
I appreciate all the insights you are sharing so gracefully with us.

    Blessings

  6. I am so glad you enjoyed this article. Thank you for your kind comments. As for your name, well, look at all those 9s, Carole! You are an old soul, for sure. For more clarity, add the vowels separately. That will give you your motivation number which is a powerful inner drive. The consonants will give you your Inner Self Number (which is how you want to be and is often the first impression you make on others). Much love to you…
